Since 2006, the Postgraduate Program in Letters: Language and Identity has worked effectively to train and qualify staff, especially those working in higher education and basic education. By 2020, 242 master's graduates had been trained, of which 47.1% work as teachers in Basic, Technical and Technological Education, 28.1% work as teachers in Higher Education, 8.7% work as Educational Affairs Technicians in Higher Education Institutions, 4.5% have no professional ties and 11.6% have other occupations.

As for the institutions where they work, 32.6% work at the Federal University of Acre, 25.2% work at the State Department of Education, Culture and Sports of Acre, 11.6% work at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Acre, 6.2% work at the College of Application - Ufac, 2.5% work in the private higher education network, 2.1% work at other public higher education institutions, 1.2% work at the Municipal Department of Education of Rio Branco - Acre and 18.6% work at other institutions.

The data above shows the program's significant contribution to the qualification of staff, especially teachers at higher education and basic education levels over the years.

From 2019, with the opening of the doctoral class, the program will be the only doctoral course in the area of Linguistics and Literature in the entire Western Amazon, making it of vital importance for the development of a triple border region.
