{"id":2835,"date":"2017-03-07T16:36:51","date_gmt":"2017-03-07T21:36:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/posletrasufac.com\/?page_id=2835"},"modified":"2023-04-07T12:46:44","modified_gmt":"2023-04-07T17:46:44","slug":"area-de-concentracao","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/posletrasufac.com\/en\/area-de-concentracao\/","title":{"rendered":"Area of Concentration and Research Lines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><u>Area of concentration: <strong>Language and Culture<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Area of Concentration \u201cLanguage and Culture\u201d enables an articulated dialogue between the lines of research, the faculty's research projects and the subjects that make up the Program's Curricular Structure, focusing on producing research and studies around the universe of the concepts of culture, thought of as all ways of life, and language, as all forms of expression and production of human meanings. This articulation turns to thinking about the social place in which the Federal University of Acre is located, in a strategic position in the South-Western Amazon, on the tri-national border Brazil-Bolivia-Peru, a macro-region that interconnects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and its social, linguistic and identity transits. For this reason, considering the social role of the university and of a postgraduate program intertwined with its socio-geographical context, the focus of Language and Culture is to house and foster studies and research aimed at producing knowledge that helps to unveil the Amazonian and Pan-Amazonian universes, with special attention to the regional ethnic, linguistic and cultural peculiarities and diversity as part of the \u201call-world\u201d with which it relates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Research Line: Language(s) and Teacher Training<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It brings together studies focused on situations of contact between languages, languages and the teaching-learning of Mother Tongue (LM), Foreign Languages (FL) and Indigenous Languages (IL) of the Amazonian and Pan-Amazonian universes. It also focuses on research related to the description, analysis and documentation of indigenous languages, as well as reading and writing practices and linguistic analysis and literacy in relation to teacher training and performance and its interfaces with the production of teaching materials for basic education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Professors linked to the research
